Her message is below. -Tim Dear allies of the Wet’suwet’en and the fight against CGL, My name is Eve Saint, I am a climate finance campaigner and a Land Defender. I am writing to invite you to gather with me and the hereditary chiefs so we can cut through the horror and learn about the beauty of the Yintah and Wet’suwet’en culture together. In the buildup to RBC’s AGM, let us share stories and show you what we stand for. Let’s come together and connect to Land and culture! Please register for the 19th of March, 19h ET, to learn or rediscover what we are fighting for. It now feels like ages since my own life was swept up by the destruction of the Wet’suwet’en Yintah. The process has been full of horror and hope. We have made many new friends and allies on the way, we have confronted power together and succeeded in doubling the cost of the CGL pipeline, making it a money loser. Yet the fight continues. The injustice inflicted upon the Wet’suwet’en is abhorrent. The cruelty beyond comprehension. We must stand against that. But we also stand for much more. We stand for reconnecting across difference, for deep harmony with nature, for joy. I want to invite you to focus on those with me and my clan, to come and learn about Wet’suwet’en culture and draw inspiration so we can sustain this fight and our community as we build up to RBC’s AGM.
